The Senior Year Experience

Senior year is a major milestone — not just for your teen, but for you as a parent too. It’s a time filled with excitement, anticipation, and maybe a few happy tears. My goal is to make this experience not only stress-free, but also unforgettable. From start to finish, we’ll work together to create meaningful images that celebrate your senior’s personality, achievements, and everything that makes this moment so special.

The Consultation — In the Comfort of Home

This is where we begin — and I come to you. Whether it's your living room or kitchen table, I’ll travel to wherever you feel most at ease. During this relaxed, in-person consultation, we’ll:

  • Talk through your vision for the session

  • Discuss possible locations that feel authentic to your senior

  • Look through wardrobe choices together, and I’ll offer styling tips based on your selections

  • Answer any questions you or your teen may have

This step ensures we’re all on the same page and that your senior feels confident and excited heading into the session. It's more than just planning — it's about getting to know your senior so I can capture them in a way that feels true to who they are.

The Session — Where the Magic Happens

This is the fun part! On session day, we’ll head to the chosen location(s) and bring our plan to life. I’ll guide your senior every step of the way — no modeling experience needed!

Here’s what to expect:

  • A relaxed, upbeat atmosphere where your senior can be themselves

  • Natural posing direction to make them feel confident and look their best

  • Outfit changes to showcase different sides of their personality (and to get a variety of looks!)

  • Plenty of movement, laughter, and authentic moments — I want them to feel like themselves, not just look great

Sessions typically last around 2–3 hours, and parents are welcome (and encouraged) to join! Some of my favorite moments are the in-between laughs and proud-parent smiles behind the camera.

The Preview Gallery — Your Turn to Choose

After the session, I’ll send a private, watermarked preview gallery of the best unedited images. This is your opportunity to:

  • Review and select your favorite images

  • Decide which images you'd like to include in products such as albums or folio box.

  • Begin imagining how you want to display and preserve these memories

Once selections are made, I’ll fully retouch your chosen images and prepare them for the final reveal.

The Reveal & Selection — Turning Moments Into Keepsakes

A few weeks after the session, we’ll meet again for your Reveal & Selection appointment. This is where you’ll get to see the final images — edited, polished, and ready to shine.

During this meeting:

  • You’ll choose your product(s) to purchase.

  • I’ll help guide you in selecting the best products based on your home, your needs, and how you want to enjoy these memories

This is where the images come to life — not just as photos, but as tangible keepsakes you’ll treasure for years to come.
